SmartGlass International Has Been Credited as One of The Factors for The 13% Global Growth

SmartGlass International has achieved 17% year-on-year sales growth in the MENA region, which has been credited as one of the key factors for the 13% global growth in 2012. Notable projects in the MENA region that contributed to the strong sales results of SmartGlass International include the Al Shaya Trading Headquarters in Kuwait, the National Guard Headquarters in Saudi Arabia, and continued work on the Kempinski Grand & Ixir Hotel in Bahrain.

High-profile projects in the region have also helped generate greater awareness about the benefits of electronically switchable privacy glass. SmartGlass is widely used within the hospitality, commercial and healthcare sectors as it illuminates environments, creating multi-functional spaces that adapt and respond to the needs of users at the flick of a switch.

“The strong sales performance of SmartGlass International reflects the growing popularity of electronically switchable privacy glass technology as an intriguing and stylish solution to privacy design issues in the Middle East. We are currently stepping up our expansion drive in the region to take advantage of the strong demand for our SmartGlass technology. Moving forward with our growth plans in 2013, we now have a long list of high-profile projects in the pipeline, including several contracts that were secured through relationships with leading interior designers, architects and hotel operators in the region. Demand is certainly on the rise and we are confident that the MENA region will remain a key market in achieving our global growth targets in 2013 and beyond,” said John O’Gorman, Sales Manager MENA Region for SmartGlass International.

In addition to the MENA region, strong growth in Europe has also played a key role in SmartGlass International’s healthy sales performance in 2012. The major global projects that were completed in 2012 include Microsoft’s Headquarters in Lisbon, Portugal; Viking River Cruises in Germany; the CERN Globe of Knowledge & Innovation in Switzerland; and The Harley Street Medical Centre in London.
