Powertree Services will build build 68 electric vehicle charging stations in San Francisco, US and has selected Panasonic provide engineering, construction and procurement services.
The stations are designed to be powered by solar energy to incorporate a battery storage component, and after completion the stations will not only be able to charge vehicles but it will supply solar power to tenants and provide additional power to the buildings.
The company expects to complete the construction and commence the operations of all the stations by Earth Day 2015.

When complete, the 68 stations will have an installed capacity of 6.1 megawatts of power and 2.5 megawatts of EV charging capacity.
