Amcor, along with Janoschka, has developed new micro-embossing printing technology for carton packaging.
Jaholo is a special micro-embossing printing technology, which provides prismatic and pattern movement effects to carton packaging.
The partnership has developed new Jaholo technology by combining Janoschka’s integrated pre-press expertise with Amcor’s global printing and converting capabilities.
Accomplished through a special pre-press and inline gravure micro-embossing with UV, Jaholo incorporates with current designs and decoration features such as metallic effects
The partnership has tested more than 30 generic Jaholo patterns. Barrel proof process will be used to develop custom designs.
Jaholo technology can be used to develop geometric shapes, patterns, lines, text and logos with different background colors.
Compatible with various board types such as SBS, FBB and laminated boards, the new technology is said to compliment current embossing, UV structures and other decorative effects.
Amcor will provide Jaholo from its two folding carton sites in Europe, while Janoschka’s engraving sites in Germany, Russia, Malaysia, Vietnam and Brazil produce Jaholo cylinders.
