It is just over one week until Lighting and the AJ host a panel discussion on the subject of office lighting (Designing the workspace of the future) and the final part of the speaker line-up has been confirmed. Andrew Bissell, lighting design director at Cundall, will talk about his ground-breaking lighting scheme for technology firm Brightsolid's headquarters at 6 Chapel Place in London.
Bissell will explain how the project, on which he worked with John Robertson Architects, defies office lighting convention, focusing light on the task, vertical elements and visual features. As such, it was one of the first lighting schemes in the UK to conform to the new European Standard for Indoor Workplaces covering lighting: BS EN 12464-1 2011.
