Swedish label converter LariTryck has invested in Mark Andy’s new flexo press and Digital Series inkjet hybrid press platform to enhance its production capacity.
LariTryck had already installed three Mark Andy Performance Series P7 and two 2200 presses at its facilities in Nässjö and Bjuv.
Under the $2m investment, LariTryck has invested in fourth P7 second generation press and Mark Andy’s top-of-the-range flexo press.
It is a six-color UV machine with a 430mm web width and can be equipped with a corona treater and web cleaner, chill drums to handle unsupported films, delam/relam, cold foil.
Expected to be delivered in June this year, the second generation press can also be fitted with the firm’s quick change die cut (QCDC) system.
The company has developed Digital Series inkjet hybrid press platform to be used in printing, decorating and converting applications.
The Digital Series platform, which includes a 330mm web width, can print and convert inline in one pass.
LariTryck CEO Johan Ripa said: “The Mark Andy P7 presses have allowed us to grow our business year on year by 15% so we urgently need extra flexo capacity.
“But when I watched the live demonstration of the Digital Series I could immediately see how it could open opportunities for us in new markets.”
Mark Andy Scandinavia sales manager Timo Donati said: “The Digital Series is capable of high quality printing, decorating, and converting in a single pass at consistent speeds of 76m/min, making it the most productive narrow web flexo/inkjet hybrid available, with an excellent ROI.”
Mark Andy produces Digital Series press platform, Digital One presses and Digital Plus presses. It also produces flexo solutions, including Performance Series presses, 830 and 2200 flexo press models, as well as Versa Max mid-web and in-line flexible packaging presses.
