Japanese carmaker Mazda has unveiled the 2014 Mazda6 sedan at the 2012 Moscow Auto Show in Russia.
The new sedan developed for the Russian market is powered by a SKYACTIV-G 2.0litre gasoline engine and is mated to either a the SKYACTIV-MT six-speed manual transmission or SKYACTIV-Drive six-speed automatic transmission.
It will generate an output of 134hp at 6,000 rpm and 155bft of torque at 4,000 rpm.
Mazda is also offering the sedan with another powertrain option including a SKYACTIV-G 2.5-litre gasoline engine, mated to a SKYACTIV-Drive transmission, which generates 189hp output at 5,700 rpm and 189lbft of torque at 3,250 rpm.
The new sedan also debuts the company's i-ELOOP, a capacitor-based regenerative braking system, which is expected to enhance fuel economy by 10%.
Features of the new Russian 2014 Mazda6 include adaptive front-lighting system (AFS), high-beam control (HBC), hill launch assist (HLA),emergency stop signal (ESS), rear vehicle monitoring (RVM), lane departure warning system (LDWS) and smart city brake support (SCBS).
According to the Japanese carmaker, the 2014 Mazda6 will also be launched in Europe in 2012, and it is expected to be on sale in the US and Canada in early 2013.
