The Mayhem of Black Friday May Have Come to an End,But The Sale Season Is Far From Over

Retailers embrace biggest day for online shopping with hundreds of deals on toys and games.

The mayhem of Black Friday may have come to an end, but the sale season is far from over, as online retailers entice the frugal with hundreds of deals to mark Cyber Monday.

Online giant, Amazon recorded its busiest day ever on Black Friday on Friday, November 28th with 5.5m orders, selling on average 64 items per second.

However, the firm has now forecast that today’s sales could break this record as the site launched hundreds of Cyber Monday deals.

Billed as the biggest day for online trade in the calendar year, Cyber Monday is the digital hangover of the US tradition, Black Friday.

To celebrate, Amazon will release new offers every ten minutes across its range of products, including toys and gifts.

Meanwhile, The Early Learning Centre is jumping on the tradition, offering 20 per cent off all toys across learning toys, construction, doll’s houses and art and music. The deal will end tomorrow.

In its four day deal bender, Toys R Us is continuing its Black Friday sale through until the end of today, offering up to 50 per cent off its selection of leading toys for this Christmas.

Argos is urging shoppers to ‘hurry’ and grab the last deals in its Black Friday sale that will end tomorrow (Tuesday, December 2nd) and includes its Big Toy Price Drop, offering discounts on hundreds of toys.

The first two Mondays of December tend to be the busiest online shopping days and Experian predicts than consumers will spend £649.6m online today, equating to £451,000 a minute.
