The organisers of Intertextile Apparel Fabrics and Milano Unica announce a three-year partnership to continue the well-received Milano Unica pavilion in Intertextile Shanghai Apparel Fabrics. Co-organised by Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd and the Sub-council of Textile Industry, CCPIT and the China Textile Information Centre, the fair is one of the most influential industry fairs held biennially in China.
The agreement will be effective from the 2013 Beijing edition to the 2015 Shanghai edition. The agreement signing ceremony held on 23rd October will be hosted by Milano Unica and Messe Frankfurt, representing the organisers.
Making its successful debut at Intertextile Beijing Apparel Fabrics 2012, the Milano Unica pavilion brought Italy's most prestigious textile and accessory companies to a burgeoning China marketplace.
The first edition featured 95 exhibitors, amongst which a majority were first-time exhibitors in China. The pavilion returned to this year's Shanghai exhibition with an even larger presence of 124 exhibitors, a 30% increase from the first edition.
Italy has been one of the longest exhibiting countries with 13 years of participation at Messe Frankfurt's Intertextile Apparel Fabrics shows in greater China. The long-lasting relationship between Messe Frankfurt and S.I. Tex S.p.A. (organisers of Milano Unica, Italian Textile trade fair), with the full-fledged support of the Italian Trade Commission, will create synergy and further expand the brand "Made in Italy" worldwide. It also takes the fair to a new level, reaffirming Messe Frankfurt's commitment to providing the best textile exhibition in China.
The Milano Unica Pavilion for this year's Shanghai show is formed by 124 of the best Italian textile producers, showcasing fabrics for suit- and shirt-making, as well as precious silk and fine prints inside SalonEurope, which this year occupies all of hall W1. 124 Italian exhibitors from textile districts throughout the nation will present their F/W 2013-2014 collections for women's wear and men's wear.
The significance of the connection between China and Italy's textile industries is further magnified with an OnStage fashion show scheduled within the pavilion, showcasing some of the best modern creations by Chinese and Italian designers.
Intertextile Shanghai Apparel Fabrics is co-organised by Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd, the Sub-council of Textile Industry, CCPIT and the China Textile Information Centre.
