Japanese automaker Mitsubishi Motors is planning to unveil Outlander SUV at the 2012 Beijing International Automotive Exhibition in China.
For the Chinese market, the new SUV will be powered either by a J11 2.0 litre in-line 4-cylinder 16-valve SOHC MIVEC or the 4J12 2.4litre 4-cylinder 16-valve SOHC MIVEC engines featuring the enhanced MIVEC variable valvetrain.
The new SUV will feature an "eco-friendly driving system" which will alert the driver when driving at maximum efficiency, facilitating to driver to drive at maximum efficiency to enhance actual fuel efficiency of the vehicle.
Outlander's safety technologies include forward crash mitigation system (FCM0 which detects other vehicles in front of the car and automatically applies the brakes to reduce the chance of a forward collision.
It will also be equipped with adaptive cruise control system (ACC) which is a radar system that maintains a safe distance between the vehicles in front.
Mitsubishi Motors is planning to bring the new model to market in the country during 2012.
The company will also unveil its ASX, Pajero, Pajero Sport, Outlander EX, Lancer Evolution and Lancer EX vehicles at the show.
