Iran s Minister of Industry, Mine and Trade, Mehdi Ghazanfari, said that during the past calendar year, ended March, the country s output of cement grew 8 percent from a year earlier, reported Tehran Times. Ghazanfari added that the amount exceeded 66.4 million tons, whereas clinker output jumped 12 percent from a year earlier to nearly 64.6 million tons. He also said that at the current time, Iran s cement output capacity stands at 74 million tons. Moreover, by 2015, the country s cement production capacity would grow to reach 110 million.
