Pfleiderer Generated Consolidated Turnover in The First Quarter of of €388.9m

Pfleiderer generated consolidated turnover in the first quarter of of €388.9m, virtually unchanged year on year. The decline of 0.6% was attributed by Pfleiderer primarily to the sale concluded on 24 Januaryof the Moncure particleboard and MDF/HDF plant to a subsidiary of the Chilean company Paneles Arauco. Group turnover generated by continuing operations showed an even greater decline of 2.4% to €256.4m. The North American wood-based panels operations and the Pergo laminate-flooring business, which were put up for sale and which have not been shown as continuing operations since the third quarter of 2011, have therefore shown a better year-on-year trend than wood-based panels business in Western and Eastern Europe.
