US-based AquaLiv Technologies has entered into an agreement to acquire Verity Farms, a company aiming to lower chemical dependency and genetic modification in food production.
AquaLiv Technologies, through its subsidiary AquaLiv, offers physics-based solutions to biological challenges, including the AquaLiv Water System that enhances drinking water and AgSmart Rice that increases rice crop yields and provides resistance to pests, disease, and storms.
The company's solutions are employed in agriculture, water treatment, environmental science, animal husbandry, personal use products and medical industries.
AquaLiv Technologies CEO Bill Wright said that the company plans to focus to enhance their business with the acquisition of a synergistic company.
Verity's program focuses on soil stewardship during crop and livestock production using practical knowledge and scientific principles. Producers for Verity are from Iowa, Minnesota, Nebraska, South Dakota, Ohio, Georgia and Mississippi with plans in place to greatly expand the producer network in many other states. All producers voluntarily follow Verity's defined protocols for grain production.
Verity is organized into three business divisions: soil preservation, water systems and consumer products.
