The French maritime-pine plywood manufacturer Rolpin aims to take over Xilofrance, a company which has been the subject of a court restructuring process (“procédure de sauvegarde”) since August 2011. According to Benoit Caron, general manager of Xilofrance, broad agreement has already been reached but requires the consent of the lending banks. A letter of intent from the shareholders of Xilofrance and Rolpin has apparently already been signed. A conclusion to the negotiations is expected at the latest by the end of May.
