Plans for a 10-hectare solar panel farm at a former airbase in Northamptonshire have been given the go-ahead. The 25,000 solar panels at Chelveston Renewable Energy Park could provide power for more than 2,100 households a year.
The application was lodged by the Chelveston Renewable Energy Ltd, which already had permission for wind turbines, an anaerobic digestion plant and bio-oil electricity generators on the site.
The Environment Agency asked for a revised flood risk assessment to address their concerns after originally objecting to the scheme.
