Polystyrene foam containers manufacturer Ecopax is reportedly completing expansion of its Easton facility in Pennsylvania, US with an estimated investment of about $3.7m.
As part of the expansion, the company is expected to have installed a new 12t thermoformer and 19t EPS foam extruder along with new machinery that are expected to be operational by end of 2013.
Following the move, the company's capacity is expected to increase by 50% for manufacturing single-use containers, trays, plates and bowls.
The company has also installed six new storage silos at the facility, in addition to its existing two silos.
The latest development follows an investment of $2.15m of the company's 75,000ft2 expansion in 2012.
