Smuttynose Brewing, a US-based craft brewery, has partnered with Craft Beer Guild Distributing of California and El Dorado Distributing to expand the distribution of its beers to California.
The company will ship its bottled Big Beer Series releases; Homunculus and Rhye IPA, and three kegs of Cluster's Last Stand.
With this deal, Smuttynose adds California as its 24th state where its beers are available along with Washington DC. Both distributors are part of the L Knife & Sons family of wholesalers.
Beisdes California, currently the beer line is available in Massachusetts, Virginia, New York, New Jersey, Kentucky and Wisconsin through L Knife distributorships.
Smuttynose founder and president Peter Egelston was quoted by Beerpulse as saying that they have grown in other L Knife markets and they certainly know their beers
"I'm certain we will see similar results in the California market, even though it's certainly a different landscape," Egelston added.
Smuttynose brewed, packaged and sold nearly 41,000 barrels of beer across 22 states and Washington DC.
The brewery plans to move its operations to its new, LEED Gold-registered brewery and visitors' center in Hampton, New Hampshire in 2014.
