The Average Spot Price of Polysilicon in Great China Came to US$28/Kg

This week, the average spot price of polysilicon in Great China has come to US$28/kg, a US$1.00 drop compared to last week, according to Chihheng Liang, an analyst of Digitimes Research. The price range has been around US$25-35/kg in the Greater China region this week. The price of 125 mono solar wafers decreased slightly by US$0.05/pcs to US$0.95/pcs as the product has been relatively more difficult to obtain in the spot market, said Liang. The price drop of 156 multi solar wafers has been the most significant, as a result of inventory clear-out taken by the firms, added Liang. The price range of 156 multi of this week has been around US$1.1-1.2/pcs, stated Liang. The spot price of 125 mono solar cells has shown no change this week while 156 mono and 156 multi decreased slightly. According to Liang, first-tier solar cell makers have been quoting above US$0.50/W. Products with conversion efficiency above 16.8% have also been quoted above US$0.50/W, said Liang.
