An ex-Apple employee has shared some tips for developers wondering how they can get Apple to notice their apps and feature them on the App Store.
Former Apple engineer Matt Drance offers five tricks that should help developers get noticed.
He suggests that developers should pitch their apps to publications like Macworld and Daring Fireball, because "there's a pretty good chance Apple employees will see it."
His next tip is to focus on execution of the app -- make sure it does what it does well.
Making a good demo video is another tip. Also, using Apple's newest features "gives you a shot at getting someone's attention at Apple" because those are the apps it will want to highlight at the next event.
Finally, attend Apple events such as WWDC and try to meet Apple employees.
