The Facelift with Revised Front and Rear Styling Is Unveiled

The facelift comes three years into the life of the French brand’s full-size sedan, and introduces revised front and rear styling.

The refreshed Renault features new headlights with rounded corners and a thin strip of LED daytime running lights along the lower edges.

The Latitude’s grille is now smaller and disconnected from the headlights and sports a new three-slat pattern with horizontal chrome bars.

Contours on the bumper add character to the front end, with a redesigned central air intake, fog light surrounds and a lower chin spoiler contributing to a more sophisticated appearance.

New alloy wheels freshen the look from the side, while the rear end is distinguished from the current model with new tail-light clusters and a remodelled rear bumper.

The updated Latitude is expected to carry over the existing petrol and diesel powertrains. Renault Australia currently offers two engines: a 127kW/360Nm 2.0-litre four-cylinder diesel and a 174kW/330Nm V6 petrol, both paired as standard with a six-speed automatic transmission.

Renault has sold 181 Latitude sedans across Australia so far this year, up 57 per cent compared with the same period in 2012. It is priced from $37,990 before on-road costs.
