Independence Blue Cross (IBC) has partnered with GeoBlue to offer GeoBlue Travel Medical and International Health Insurance products for individuals and families in Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery, and Philadelphia counties in US.
Available to both IBC members and the general public, the coverage will cover expatriates both in the country they live and anywhere they visit.
IBC executive vice president and expanding markets president Richard Neeson said the customers purchasing GeoBlue products will now be able to travel with confidence knowing they are covered by the trusted Blue brand worldwide.
"At IBC, we're working to help the residents of our region stay healthy and ensure that, when they do get sick, health care is safe, coordinated, and available -- no matter where they are in the world," Neeson added.
Available for purchase for both single-trip purposes and multi-trip requirements, GeoBlue policy offers continuous phone, web, and mobile support, including access to a global health coordinator, language interpretation, appointment scheduling, access to trusted doctors and hospitals in over 180 countries, information on vaccination, among others.
The companies have been providing group coverage for international business travel and expatriate insurance products and services since 2011.
