Ulsan Aromatics, a joint venture between South Korea’s SK Global Chemical and Japan’s JX Nippon Oil and Energy has planned to build a new Paraxylene (PX) plant in Ulsan, South Korea.
A SK Global Chemical company official told fibre2fashion, “The new PX plant is likely to be built in Ulsan, South Korea and the commercial production start up of the plant is expected in August 2014.
He further added, “The plant which will have a production capacity of one million tons per annum is a joint venture between SK Global Chemical and JX Nippon Oil and Energy.”
