Neopac Has Announced The Development of a Multi-Use Child Resistant C-R Package

Swiss producer of high barrier tubes, Neopac has announced the development of a multi-use child resistant C-R package for its products that use the company’s M-6 nozzle tip neck design.

The in house design of the cap has been completed with the initial samples available for testing in June 2013.

Earlier, the company launched various initiatives to be prepared for the market needs of Child Resistance, in response to the proposed CPC (Childrens Product Certificate) guidelines that were unveiled in early 2012.

The first initiative was to test and certify a 25mm diameter C-R cap with a Polyfoil tube that has been on the European market for some years. It was designed and developed at the company's R&D center in Switzerland.

Neopac also built a pilot tool for a 50-75ml fill level and a 80-125ml fill level and tested and certified the tubes too.

The company developed the Polyfoil Twist'n'Use C-R tube for unit dose applications and sealed its orifice to meet the unit dose concept.

But with a twist of the cap the product can be dispensed to a very specific area.

The C-R unit dose package is available in a 13.5mm diameter and a 16mm diameter Polyfoil Twist'n'Use tube. Their testing was performed in the late spring of 2012 and certification was issued in July 2012.
