Another Special Cross-split Bearing PLC 512-39 Was Installed on The Main Shaft

On 29th October 2011 another special cross-split bearing PLC 512-39 was installed on the main shaft in a freight skip in OKD mine Darkov. It is a large-size cross-split spherical roller bearing. This application allows replacing of the bearing in a short time compared with standard unsplit bearings. The operation of the bearing is continuously monitored with vibration diagnostics which monitors the trend of bearing behaviour regarding vibrations. Moreover it monitors also the operating temperature. The bearing mounting was again realized by the company INCO Engeneering, s. R. O. During the test operation of the first bearing PLC 512-39 in Darkov was found out that the bearing of ZKL has better parameters than the original bearing of the leading European manufacturer including significantly lower noise. These facts demonstrate the technical qualities and possibilities of ZKL Group, which with its production of split bearings continues in almost 65 years tradition, which further develops.
