Russia’s output of flat rolled steel products totaled 33.8 million tons in the first seven months of this year, falling by 2.4% year on year, according to data released by the State Statistics Committee of Russia (Russtat).
In the given period of time, the country’s output of crude steel was at 40.4 million tons, down by 3%; that of pig iron was at 29.2 million tons, decreasing by 0.7% and that of coal was at 199 million tons, remaining flat, all compared to the figures in the same period of a year ago.
Besides, Russia’s production of steel pipes totaled at 5.9 million tons, decreasing by 8.6% year on year.
