In China, Methanol Prices Declined Slightly in The Week Ending November 17

In China, Methanol prices declined slightly in the week ending November 17, due to dull market sentiments. Prices were spotted at US$ 355-365/ton CFR China. Chinese prices dipped last week for the first time in eight weeks.

Prices also went down slightly in Korea; Market analysts spotted Methanol prices in the range of US$ 365-370/ton FOB Korea.

In Japan, prices showed similar trend as Korea. Prices were assessed in the range of US$ 365-370/ton CFR Japan.

In India, prices showed similar trend as China and were marked at US$ 305/ton CFR India.

Methanol prices went up slightly in S.E. Asia. Downstream demand improved along with the prices of upstream products. Based on the market condition, Methanol prices were assessed at US$ 370-375/ton CFR S.E. Asia.

Methanex has announced its November contract prices for Asia Pacific at US$ 435/ton.
