Japanese automaker Toyota’s luxury vehicle division Lexus has unveiled the new 2013 LS 460 Luxury Sedan line of vehicles in San Francisco, US.
2013 LS 460 line of vehicles includes the LS 460, LS 460L, LS 600hL hybrid, and LS 460 F SPORT, with LS 460 and LS 460L are offered in RWD and AWD, while the hybrid variant LS 600hL is offered with an AWD system.
All the new models, except the hybrid variant, are powered by the improved DOHC, 32-valve 4.6-litre V-8 engine mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission, which will offer an output of 386 hp at 6400 rpm and 367lb-ft of torque at 4100 rpm.
The 2013 all-wheel-drive LS 600hL hybrid is powered by a 5.0-litre DOHC V-8 engine, coupled with a pair of electric motors, which are powered by a lithium-ion battery pack.
The engine generate an output of 438hp allowing the sedan to accelerate from 0-60mph in 5.5 seconds.
Features of the new line of vehicles include advanced pre-collision safety (A-PCS) system with collision avoidance assist, available adaptive cruise control (ACC), rear cross traffic alert (RCTA) advanced illumination system (AIS), new Lexus Climate Concierge and remote touch.
2013 LS460 line of vehicles are expected to go on sale from October 2012.
