General Nonwovens Has Invested in a New Production Facility in Kilis

Turkish company General Nonwovens - a producer of polyester and polypropylene based spunbond nonwovens - has invested in a new production facility in Kilis, Turkey. The new facility, which is 60 km from General Nonwovens existing location Gaziantep, is to produce a new fabric type to add to the company’s product portfolio. The new line is producing air-through fabrics that can be employed in the filtration and technical textile markets. General Nonwovens is also expanding the size of its factory in Gaziantep, which will allow more room to install new lines for spunbond and meltblown technologies. Current polypropylene and PET spunbond fabrics are widely used in automotive, filtration, technical textile, industrial and coated/laminated products. Source: filtsep
