Bosch acquires Ampack

Bosch Packaging Technology has concluded its previously announced acquisition of Ampack Ammann, a filling and packaging machine company in Germany for an undisclosed amount. The agreement was originally signed in July 2012.

Bosch Packaging Technology division president Friedbert Klefenz said the company is purchasing a product portfolio that its worldwide sales and service network will allow it to offer to existing and prospective customers around the world.

"In acquiring Ampack Ammann, we are pushing strongly ahead with our strategy of diversification," Klefenz said.

Bosch's Liquid Food business unit took over Ampack's business activities with immediate effect. Ampack, which will remain an independent unit, will be operated as a Bosch subsidiary and its products will continue to be marketed under the Ampack Ammann name, henceforth.

Ampack Ammann develops, manufactures and sells filling and packaging machines for paste-like and liquid food.
