Aberdeen-based Aiken Group has made a festive donation to the work of local charity, Aberdeen Cyrenians.

Instead of sending Christmas cards, the company makes an annual donation to charity and Aberdeen Cyrenians was chosen due to its work within the local community.

Aiken Group is a leading and innovative supplier of integrated, out-sourced and solutions-based engineering and specialist services principally accommodation; engineering, construction and modification and technology and project management.  The company provides services across a wide range of disciplines and applications covering fixed and floating installations.  It is headquartered on Crombie Road in Aberdeen and the 26-year-old company employs 70 staff at its headquarters plus more than 100 contractors worldwide.

Commenting on the donation, Aiken Group managing director Danny Donald said: “This year we have decided to support Aberdeen Cyrenians because of their tremendous efforts in helping people through difficult times.  We hope that this £500 donation in lieu of Christmas cards to clients, friends and associates will help with the organisation’s excellent work in and around Aberdeen.”
