Esko has announced its plans to acquire the US-based CAPE Systems, which provides software solutions for packaging design, pallet load optimization and supply chain profitability.
Esko president and CEO Carsten Knudsen said the addition of CAPE Systems' palletization tools to the company's portfolio supports its strategic goals.
"We′re determined to leverage the synergies this brings to our existing products and services -- especially the sustainability benefits that integrating CAPE's technology into Esko solutions should provide our customers," Knudsen added.
Terms of the transaction, which is expected to be concluded in late September 2013, have not been disclosed.
The acquisition will enable CAPE Systems to manage its reports within Esko's WebCenter online packaging management platform. It will result in the integration of CAPE Systems' products and staff into Esko.
