The first images of the new Skoda Octavia RS have been leaked ahead of the car's official unveiling, giving an undisguised look at the new performance model.
Leaked just days after the all-new Skoda Octavia was officially revealed, the computer-generated images – first accessed by Czech blog AutoFourm – were reportedly publishedaccidentallyon the company's car configurator website.
They reveal the Skoda Ocatvia RS wearing a more aggressive front bumper with honeycomb grille inserts and LED fog lights, revised side skirts with lower-door details, gloss black mirrors, five-spoke alloy wheels, and red brake calipers.
Continuing the purposeful theme, and helping to differentiate the sports model from the standard Octavia, the rear end of the RS gets a boot-mounted spoiler, new rear bumper with red detail, and twin chrome-finished exhaust pipes.
While performance figures and engine specs are yet to be revealed, power will take a big step up from the new Octavia's flagship 132kW 1.8-litre turbocharged petrol engine.
The third-generation Skoda Octavia range is due to land in Australian dealerships in the second half of 2013, following its official unveiling at the Geneva motor show in March.
