Rapid Electronics releases downlights that provide high performance retrofitting potential

Now available from Rapid Electronics is a new fire-rated product from JCC offering a high performance low energy downlighting solution,ideal for retrofitting into commercial and residential buildings.
The Fireguard LED7 LED downlights are 7W units providing the equivalent luminosity of a 50W halogen lamp,with the output exceeding 60 lumens per circuit Watt,as per England and Wales building regulations.The IP65 rated,all-metal enclosed can prevents flammable dust and debris from accumulating throughout the life of the fitting,while the bezel of each unit is wide enough to cover most imperfections and previous cut-outs.This enhances the potential of the Fireguard LED7 as a replacement lighting device for downlight installations.Dimmable and non-dimmable versions are available with a warm white LED bulb.
The dimmable version contains an integrated dimmable driver,featuring a dimmer switch allowing for even greater control over the light output.The housings have high strength steel adjustable clips that accommodate different ceiling thicknesses.The units are simple to install due to their loop in/loop out connections and push-in terminal blocks.
Available with a choice of either white,brushed nickel or chrome bezel finish,the JCC LED7 downlights are suitable for a wide range of uses where a fire-rated installation is required,such as bathrooms,showers or kitchen lights in hotels,restaurants,retail outlets.
