ShopKeep POS Announced It Has Reached 10,000 Customers

ShopKeep POS, the cloud-based point of sale system designed by a retailer, announced it has reached 10,000 customers and is expanding both in the U.S. and internationally with two new locations.

“We are excited to open an office in Belfast, Northern Ireland, which will serve as a launchpad for our expansion into Europe,” said Jason Richelson, Founder and CEO, ShopKeep POS. “We are also continuing to expand in the U.S. with a second location opening soon on the west coast which will allow us to extend our customer service hours across multiple time zones.”

New York-based ShopKeep has seen significant growth since launching its iPad point of sale app in 2011. The business has tripled every year for three years as small businesses from quick serve restaurants to retail stores continue to adopt tablet and cloud-based point of sale technology.

“10,000 customers is a significant milestone for us and one that represents a major shift in the retail industry,” continued Mr. Richelson. “Three years from now iPad registers will be everywhere, and five years from now PC-based registers will cease to exist. ShopKeep manages more than 80 Million transactions and more than $1 Billion in payment processing annually.

The company employs almost 100 staff and moved into a new 15,000 square foot office in SoHo, New York in 2013.
