It's reported that Gerdau is expanding operations near its Knoxville steel mill in Tennessee State in the US. It will add a multi-million-dollar facility at its Knoxville mill in Knoz county, Tennessee to increase its bar capacity by 120000 tpy from current 575000 tpy. Meanwhile, the new facility will produce rebar sizes 4-11 and use the Thermex process. The capacity enhancement will help boost Gerdau's finishing services for original equipment manufacturers.
