Shenzhen-headquartered panel maker CSOT has just placed an order on Taiwan Lextar Electronics for LED backlights used in LED-backlit LCD TVs.
Lextar stressed that it has built business links with several Korean and Chinese panel makers, as well as a few consumer electronic device brands abroad to diversify customers for a while, in order to reduce business overdependence on its parent company for sustainable development. In addition, it will continue to explore segments for lightings and backlights this year to boost shipment of its LED products. And it will also work hard on technology upgrades and patent acquisition, moving forward on its plan of becoming a globally competitive maker of this kind.
