Israel-based nutraceutical ingredients company LycoRed has announced that it has witnessed high sales growth of its natural tomato complex Lyc-O-Mato in Japan over the past few years, and plans to hold a seminar to discuss its latest finding on the complex.
Lyc-O-Mato is a tomato lycopene complex that is derived from the processing of red, ripe tomatoes through the company's proprietary production method.
The patented process produces oleoresin, which has health protective antioxidants such as lycopene, beta-carotene, phytoene, phytofluene and tocopherols.
LycoRed noted that Lyc-O-Mato is different from other nutritional products as it contains a complete complex of natural tomato carotenoids.
In order to discuss the new findings on the natural tomato complex, the company plans to conduct its 9th Annual Lycopene Seminar in Tokyo on 25 October 2012.
Professors Joseph Levy and Paran will discuss the latest findings in natural tomato lycopene complex and vascular health, while Prof. Levy will present new findings on women and men health.
LycoRed Global Marketing & Sales VP Ilan Ron said that Lyc-O-Mato has established a leading position in Japanese market, which has shown a potential for the natural lycopene in in the last decade.
The seminar in Tokyo will be the company's largest gathering, where leading scientists will present their latest clinical information on Lyc-O-Mato to customers, Ron added.
