Portland, Oregon-based Steel Service Inc. announced this week the completion of the purchase of a 100,000-square-foot manufacturing space at the Port of Ephrata. The sale includes two buildings previously occupied by wind tower manufacturer T Bailey.
Currently, the steel cutting company operates a 300,000-square-foot facility on Swan Island in Portland. The company estimates that the ramp-up in production will necessitate the hiring of 50 employees.
