The IFAI Expo to Be Held on November 7-9 at The Boston Convention & Exhibition Center

The IFAI Expo to be held on November 7-9 at the Boston Convention & Exhibition Center is the platform that will be used by Fulflex, George C. Moore Co. and Darlington Fabrics to exhibit their joint capabilities to the projected 6,000 specialty fabric industry professionals that are expected to visit the show. Creating value and focusing on the needs of the world class brands they serve in a sustainable manner is the force that keeps them working together to constantly deliver quality, innovative and customized products and services. They will be exhibiting, on booth #1018, their complete offer of products that range from a variety of thin gauge elastics; narrow elastic fabric and rigid webbing; and warp knit stretch performance fabrics.

Fire resistant (FR) fabrics are one area where all The Moore Company divisions have been collaborating. Both George C. Moore and Darlington, have tested and introduced FR narrow and wide stretch fabric that comply with the rigorous no melt, no drip requirements. "To align our efforts with our sister companies, at Fulflex we have also developed an FR elastomeric thread that is incorporated into fabric for much greater performance while maintaining the critical no melt, no drip features the military and industrial markets have expressed significant interest in," said Jay Waltz, Vice President of Sales for Fulflex.

George C. Moore Co. will be exhibiting their wide range of plain, printed, woven and knit narrow elastics. "Our value added services include cutting and looping, fabricated waistbands, silicone applications, technical finishes, permanent fire resistance, water resistant finishes, among other assorted offerings", said Andrew Dreher, Senior Vice President.

The narrow fabric manufacturer recently strengthened their product development capabilities by investing in package dyeing (for yarn and elastic) and in equipment to apply silicone tracks on elastics that are sewn onto stay-put garments and equipment for industrial, safety, military, medical and outdoor equipment manufacturers.

At IFAI Expo, Darlington Fabrics will be presenting their warp knit stretch hook-receptive, compression and their high tenacity and durable nylon fabrics, all which are manufactured taking environmental issues into consideration. "All three divisions are committed to reducing carbon footprint. The durability of our high tenacity nylon fabric is a result of our commitment with sustainability, since creating fabrics that will be long lasting reduces replacement time", said Steve Perry, Senior Vice President of Darlington Fabrics. He added, "All three companies have practices in place aimed to reduce carbon footprint. This includes procedures to reduce energy and water consumption, recycling programs; we also have an electrostatic precipitator in place to filter industrial emissions using minimum energy consumption, among many other sustainable practices".

Darlington, George C. Moore and Fulflex are divisions of The Moore Company, founded in 1909. Sister divisions include Moeller Marine, Moeller Plastics, and AMER-SIL. The Moore Company manufactures products in the United States. International manufacturing facilities complement domestic capabilities while serving regional markets around the globe.
