Burnpur Cement Limited, a private sector cement company in the Eastern region of India, is planning to set up an 800 TPD integrated cement plant at Patratu with a total investment of approximately 200 crores INR. The company has entered into an MoU with the Government of Jharkhand. Limestone mines at Benti Bagda near Patratu Plant have been allotted to the Company by the Government of Jharkhand. The company has already started mining activities there. The first phase of construction is expected to be completed by the end of this financial year and the production will start from April, 2013. Burnpur’s turnover for the financial year 2011-12 was Rs 51.95 Crores, which is 68% more than the turnover of the financial year 2010-11. The company is expecting a sales growth of more than 100% for the current financial year. The company has a plant at Asansol with installed capacity of 1000 TPD. Source: uaecement
