To expand its portfolio and help increase its presence in UK and Europe, PHS Teacrate has invested in tooling equipment from Rehrig Pacific UK.
The US-based returnable transit packaging firm, which produces a range of returnable packaging formats for both food and non-food firms and handles more than 20 million crates a year, is aiming to focus on Europe.
Its investment in Rehrig is expected to considerably increase Teacrate's product offering.
PHS Tecrate commercial director Gordon Philip said they faced some difficulties in the past for obtaining supplies of some Rehrig crates, but with its acquisition they expect things to change.
"By consolidating supply we can now offer a broader range of products, which will enable ex-Rehrig customers to benefit from dealing with a UK provider who also offers a range of value added RTP services," Phillip added.
