Surefire Medical, a developer of infusion systems for the interventional radiology and interventional oncology markets, has introduced Surefire Infusion System mT, designed to treat vessels as small as 2–3.5mm in interventional direct-to-target embolization procedures.
Incorporating the company's new low profile, effortlessly deployed expandable tip technology, the new enhanced infusion system gives maximum dose delivery without reflux.
Surefire Medical has made enhancements to the mT infusion system catheter tip that include smooth catheter inner liner for consistent dose delivery and thinner and more streamlined design for improved deployment and retraction.
The enhancements also include optimized shape of the Surefire expandable tip for reliable infusion even in very tortuous anatomy, sufficient antegrade flow maintained in vessels as small as 2mm.
Surefire Medical president and CEO Jim Chomas said: "The advances our team implemented in the new Surefire Infusion System mT and our other products provide physicians with even greater assurance that targeted embolization procedures can be effectively deployed in difficult-to-treat patients who can now also benefit from direct-to-tumor therapies."
In addition to the Surefire Infusion System mT, the company's other infusion systems that include the ST/LT will also incorporate many of the enhancements.
