Lite-On Technology posted consolidated revenues of NT$18.968 billion (US$632 million) for August, the highest monthly level so far in 2013 with on-month growth of 6.02% and on-year growth of 0.75%, and those of NT$133.230 billion for January-August, dipping on year by 7.42%, according to the company.
August revenues from LED lighting components and LED street lamps increased on year by nearly 20% and 40%, respectively, Lite-On Technology indicated. With Samsung Electronics, HTC, Sony Mobile Communications and China-based smartphone vendors being major clients, August revenues from CCMs (compact camera modules) used in smartphones and tablets rose on year by nearly 30%, the company said. August revenues from notebook keyboards, MFPs (multi-function peripherals) and server chassis also increased by nearly 20%, Lite-On said.
Lite-On is a supplier of power supplies and Blu-ray Disc drives for Microsoft's Xbox One, with shipments starting in late June and expected to significantly increase in the third and fourth quarters, the company noted.
