PRO Mach's Matrix to Unveil Packaging Machines for Fresh Produce Industry

Pro Mach subsidiary Matrix Packaging Machinery is set to exhibit three machines for fresh produce industry at the United Fresh 2016 in Chicago, US, which will be held from 20 to 22 June.

The machines can produce film bags, pre-made pouches, rollstock pouches, stickpacks and sachets, which can be used to pack fresh produce and condiments.

Matrix's Morpheus continuous motion form fill seal machine can produce 180 bags per minute. It features automatic setup capabilities that reduce changeover time and increase productivity.

The machine runs films that require longer seal times, making it suitable for applications such as frozen, fresh cut, and individually quick frozen (IQF) foods.

Toyo Jidoki TT-8D-N pre-made pouch fill and seal machine will be used to produce stand-up, flat bottom and fifth-panel style bags. It can produce around 55 flat, standup, and press-to-close pouches per minute.

The compact and modular Inever BY300 multilane stickpack machine will produce low-to-medium quality stickpack seals that can be used for powders, granules, solids, liquids, and pastes.

The machine holds capacity to produce 150 stickpacks per minute with three-lane operation, while 350 per minute with seven lanes.

Matrix general manager and vice president Marc Wilden said: "The three machines on display at United Fresh 2016 showcase the Matrix approach to flexible packaging machines - rugged and dependable equipment that is easy to use and low cost to operate.

"I urge packers and co-packers to stop by the booth to see the machines we are featuring at the show and talk to our applications personnel to find a machine that fits their need and budget."
