Mechel, one of Russia’s leading mining and metallurgical companies, announces its financial report for the first nine months in 2013 that had a loss about US$393 million.
However, the company got revenue about US$258 million in the same period of last year. This is huge contrast between 2012 and 2013.
Mechel got revenue from foreign mining industry about US$2.1 billion from January to September in 2013, down by 20% from a year ago. Also, its revenue from overseas steel sales around US$4 billion, dropping by 20% compared to the same period of 2012.
