Columbia Sportswear has signed an apparel licensing partnership with Dallas Cowboys, a professional American football franchise of the National Football League.
Under the apparel licensing partnership, Columbia will market co-branded sportswear, outerwear and accessories for men, women and youth, with these products being made available in late spring 2015.
Columbia said the partnership with the Dallas Cowboys was a natural fit, as the combination of Dallas Cowboys rich history of success and Columbia's commitment to innovative product solutions creates a unique opportunity.
The apparel retailer added, “This partnership provides Dallas Cowboys fans access to quality outdoor performance apparel crafted with innovative technologies and thoughtful design.”
The Columbia-Dallas agreement extends through early 2018 under which Dallas Cowboys will sell co-branded product through wholesale channels including official NFL retail stores. Additionally, they will also be available through Columbia's retail stores.
This marks the first time Columbia has partnered with an NFL team to offer co-branded product to consumers. Dallas Cowboys have consistently been among NFL’s top teams in terms of licensed product sales
