Tilit Chef Goods, designer chef wear made in NYC, launches Women’s & Men’s unisex Chef’s Work-shirts this week, just in time for last minute holiday gifts.
The shirts are made in classic bright white oxford and for the fashion forward a charcoal chambray version. The online retail store offers tailored clothing like pants, aprons and hats. The workwear is constructed of durable materials like canvas and British Millerain waxed cotton while incorporating the styling of contemporary street-wear.
The shirt is sewn in the heart of Manhattan and ready to be shipped across the country. Creator Alex McCrery, a long time and current chef himself says, "It is only natural that we’d incorporate a great looking work-shirt, not only for men, but for women too!" “When you see the details in the stitching and the tailoring you’ll never want to wear a standard uniform again.”
Response has been great since the company launched online last month. The product line is expected to continue to grow in the near future with more options for women, home cooks, and new styles of pants and aprons as well.
McCrery, a chef for 16 years, is private chef to Jerry Seinfeld's family in New York. Previously he worked at Commander's Palace, Aureole, and Antonucci, where he had the opportunity to cook at the James Beard House.
