Latest Apparel Fabrics and Accessories Were Showed at Intertextile Apparel Fabrics

This year’s Intertextile Beijing Apparel Fabrics sees a large number of exhibitors from across China and throughout Asia presenting their latest apparel fabrics and accessories. In total, over 1,300 exhibitors from 16 countries and regions have already confirmed their participation. The 2012 edition saw over 26,000 buyers from 78 countries and regions visit the fair. The show this year will be held in the China International Exhibition Centre covering over 50,000 sqm.

Japan zone, Korea, Taiwan and Pakistan pavilions return this year

Due to strong demand last year, many exhibitors have returned to participate in the four Asian zones / pavilions: the Japan zone, Korea pavilion, Taiwan pavilion and Pakistan pavilion.

The Japan zone presents 16 exhibitors with a particular focus on high-quality cotton, knitted, man-made and silk fabrics. The latest in fabric design and technology will also be on display. Sojitz Fashion, which will exhibit many of these fabrics, views Intertextile Beijing as a good way to grow their business. “As Chinese customers demand for high-quality fabrics increases, we try to develop more fabrics based on Japanese quality at reasonable prices,” says Mr Itsuko Kimura.

Organised in conjunction with the Korea Fashion Textile Association, the Korea pavilion features 52 exhibitors showcasing a wide range of man-made and functional fabrics. One exhibitor, Scenic Inc., who has been exhibiting at Intertextile Beijing and Shanghai for the last eight years, sees this show as the perfect chance to develop new Chinese customers. “We have developed many jacquard fabrics especially for this fair which will be shown for the first time,” says Mr Jang, President of Scenic Inc.

The Taiwan pavilion – with 31 exhibitors – will showcase the best of Taiwan, including high-quality accessories, cotton, denim, embroidery, jacquard, knit, lace, polyester, spandex, and wool-blended and woven fabrics suitable for both the mass and luxury markets. Cotton fabrics for casual wear and jeans are among the highlights of the Pakistan pavilion, which is co-organised with the Embassy of Pakistan.

Individual exhibitors from China, Hong Kong, India, Korea and Pakistan will present their collections of cotton, knitted fabrics, lace and embroidery, and silk in hall 5. While in the same hall, accessories exhibitors from China and overseas will showcase buttons, labels, lace and embroidery, zippers and more.

Strong presence from high-end European suppliers

European exhibitors continue to utilise Intertextile Beijing Apparel Fabrics to take advantage of the growing Chinese market. The ever-popular SalonEurope will again feature the Milano Unica pavilion with some of the best-known Italian designs. And the “Verve for Design” zone appears for the first time. The Portugal pavilion also returns, as well as other exhibitors from France, Germany, Spain, Switzerland, Turkey and the United Kingdom.
