Daimler Buses has won an order from Deutsche Bahn's DB Fleet Management to deliver more than 150 buses.
The order will include a mix of Mercedes-Benz and Setra brand urban and intercity buses for use in urban and regional transportation by Germany's bus transport provider DB Regio Bus.
Scheduled to be delivered in batches in 2013, the fuel-efficient, low-emission buses will be equipped with the environmentally friendly BlueTec SCR diesel technology.
The busses will also meet the Enhanced Environmentally Friendly Vehicle (EEV) emissions standard, which is even stricter than Euro V.
All the vehicles will be produced at the various EvoBus plants located in Mannheim and Neu-Ulm in Germany.
DB Regio Bus runs DB's regional and urban transportation business, which includes a network of 22 bus companies and more than 70 holdings in transportation firms and cooperatives across Germany.
