Samsung Became World's Largest Semiconductor User in 2012

According to Japanese media reports, the most authoritative global IT research and advisory firm Gartner consulting firm (gartner) released a 2012 Global electronics manufacturers, semiconductor accessories demand survey report on January 24. The report shows that the scale of global semiconductor sales in 2012 was $ 297.6 billion, down 13.4% year-on-year.

South Korea's Samsung Electronics purchases increased by 28.9%, won the global sales champion by $ 23.9 billion. U.S. Apple's year-on-year increase was 13.6%, came in second place with purchases of $ 21.4 billion. Hewlett-Packard came in third place with $ 14 billion of purchases, but down 12.7% year-on-year. Dell ranked fourth, with purchase of $ 8.6 billion yen and year-on-year decrease of 13.4%.

Face with disadvantaged situation in the smart phone market, Nokia’s purchase was only $ 5 billion, decreasing by 42.6%.
