the luxury vehicle brand of the Nissan has signed an agreement with Magna Steyr, an operating unit of Magna International, for assembling Infiniti's future luxury entry level compact vehicle.
According to Infiniti the current agreement follows an engineering assignment which Magna Steyr is currently working on.
The company said that the production of the vehicle is expected to begin in 2014.
Nissan Motor executive vice president Andy Palmer said, "This new vehicle represents a significant opportunity for the Infiniti brand to reach new consumers and grow in key markets such as Western Europe."
Infiniti and Magna are currently confirming the details for the manufacturing and supply agreements.
